"Developing molecular machines will be as easy as building a Lego set"
A junior researcher at ITMO’s ChemBio Cluster
Nikita Serov
Develops algorithms to predict the properties of materials.
His superpower:
creating things that do not yet exist
Nikita assembles smart nanomachines that can control molecules, including those in living organisms. For instance, they can be used in targeted drug delivery. However, in order to efficiently deliver drugs to specific organs, such "transport" has to be safe.
A special digital platform was developed to test the toxicity of such transport machines. Usually, labs manually select structures with particular properties, which is expensive and time-consuming. With the platform, it will be possible to make the correct choice within seconds.
Nikita possesses a valuable skill — he always brings his projects to their conclusion. Very soon, he will open his own lab, where he will assemble a team of superheroes for whom even the impossible will be possible.
